How permanent is cosmetic tattooing?
It is a semi permanent treatment which results will vary from client to client. How an individual retains the ink amongst other factors (such as sun exposure) will determine how long the cosmetic tattoo will last. Anywhere from 6 months to 2 years is a realistic time frame, although some may last longer. A yearly touch up is recommended to keep it fresh and defined and can be priced between $165 & $220, depending on the time/complexity of the maintenance.
Is there discomfort involved?
The procedure is more gentle than tradition tattoo. The sensation can vary from person-to-person, however a high quality topical anaesthetic is applied for the procedure to reduce discomfort.
Do I have a choice of colour?
The range of colours are extensive and custom tailored to suit every individual's skin tone & natural hair colour. In your eyebrow design, we together decide which colour will suit you best.
Is cosmetic tattooing right for me?
Anyone who desires a soft, natural or prominent enhancement to their appearance can benefit from skilfully applied cosmetic tattoos. You are unable to receive the procedure if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or under the age of 18.
An individual using lash growth serum is required to discontinue use for at least 3 months before being eligible for any lash enhancement tattoo’s.
Is there anything I need to do to prepare before my appointment for a cosmetic tattoo?
Yes. Strictly no alcohol, aspirins or painkillers can be taken 24 hours before your appointment. Caffeine must also be avoided. Individuals taking fish oil tablets require to advise us as these will effect how your tattoo will heal.
We strongly recommend individuals who suffer from cold sores take/apply medication 2 weeks before a Lip Tattoo procedure to help prevent a break out.
Can I wear make-up?
No you cannot wear makeup directly over the treated area until it has healed, however make up elsewhere is fine. Healing time generally between 5 to 7 days.
As you are to avoid water over the brows during the healing period, we recommend wipes to remove your makeup anywhere close to this area.
How long does it take?
Times vary between treatments from 1 hour up to 2.5hours.
What will I look like and am I able to go out after the treatment?
The microblading treatment will immediately have eyebrows looking darker and more defined. On average most don’t have a problem socialising or going out in public straight after their appointment
Lip Tattoo’s appear more intense and are likely to have some residual swelling and/or chapping.
Slight swelling in Eyeliner treatment is also possible.
